BLACK EMPOWERMENT
B-BBEE is accomplished through social entrepreneurship. Altered Attitudes cc was founded and is led by Flick Asvat, a social entrepreneur, who has gained national and international recognition and awards for her methods to speed up B-BBEE. Social entrepreneurs have the same qualities as their conventional counterparts but instead of focusing on profits only they turn socio-economic challenges into business opportunities. For instance, the B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice requires a measured entity to contribute 3% of its net profit after tax for enterprise development as a means to speed up economic equity. If the amount you must contribute to comply with enterprise development is R1Million we will develop a B-BBEE strategy for you to get 125% recognition for your contribution. This means that you need only contribute R800 000 for enterprise development and it will be as if you had spent the full R1Million, which frees up R200 000 for you to use elsewhere in your business.
We will also help you capitalise on BEE preferential procurement by using some of your targeted spend for enterprise development to structure B-BBEE suppliers that give you 135% recognition for buying from them. This means that if you must spend R1Million with B-BBEE suppliers you need only spend R750 000 with them and it will be as if you had spent R1 012 500. The enhanced recognition for B-BBEE procurement frees up R262 500 for you to use elsewhere in your business. |
